What is Script School?
Script School is designed to gently ease webmasters and webmistresses (both mainstream and/or adult, we do not discriminate) into the scripting/programming world. It is not a traditional programming site, though we do have our share of geekdom here, and it is doubtful that you will find another site quite like this on the net. If you should then please drop us a line and tell us about it. Thousands of students are already enrolled and more new students enroll every day!

What happens at Script School?
Every week on Friday from 2-4pm PT / 5-7pm ET we broadcast a live radio show on the technical side of webmastering from our office in Washington state. We also send enrolled students a specialy weekly newsletter which contains useful information relating to webmastering and/or scripting. We provide courses on learning how to code for various languages like PHP and Perl CGI on the web.

Why should I become an enrolled student at Script School?
Because as Script School continues to grow, more and more courses and features will be made and/or added for enrolled students only. If you are already a webmaster - or would like to be a webmaster - who learns about coding for the web then Script School is a great place to begin your journey. Also, we have a privacy statement which outlines how we protect the information you supply us with and further explains that we do *not* give, sell, rent or lease your email addresses to any third parties.

This sounds great, but how much will this cost me?
This might surprise those from the proprietary world who are used to paying for everything, but Script School does not cost students a penny. Script School is brought to the web in the spirit of open source. It is our way of giving back to those who have given to us along the way. Script School is wholly supported by

1. Paid advertising - if you have a product or service that targets webmasters, you can advertise to thousands of enthusiastic, intelligent webmasters
2. Donations from satisfied students and visitors through our Amazon Honor PayPage

3. Sales from the Script School Store from various vendors
4. Send Script School webmaster traffic by putting a text or graphic link up to us

We are realists that unless we continue to have support from *you* we will someday have to charge for this service. So please directly help support Script School by first enrolling as a student (remember, it's free!) and if you find our service useful please choose one of the four options above.
